5% shares are available in Calculaite who has won four races on the flat from 8 - 10 furlongs as well as two Handicap Hurdle races at Sedgefield. The latest of those was in June last year on his first start back after a wind operation. He won easily by 7 lengths and hopefully he should be capable of winning again in the months ahead.
Trained by Martin Todhunter at Orton in Cumbria, Calculaite runs in the name and colours of a syndicate called The Hexham Handicappers.
Calculaite is a versitile horse who will mix hurdling with running over fences and so there will be no lack of suitable opportunities for him. He was an excellent 3rd in a competitive Class 3 Handicap Chase at Musselburgh on 27th November on only his third start over fences and was beaten only half a length by the much improved Fred Bojangles in a £10,000 Class 3 Handicap Chase at Ayr on 13th March. He was again runner up over the same course and distance two weeks later.
Calculaite is a sound horse who runs regularly. He is ideal for anyone wishing to get involved in the ownership of a jumper. HE WILL HAVE HIS FIRST RUN AFTER A SUMMER BREAK AT SEDGEFIELD ON TUESDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER - HE ALWAYS RUNS HIS BEST RACES WHEN FRESH AND IS SURE TO TAKE ALL THE BEATING!!
COST & DURATION
The syndicate comprises of 20 x 5% shares which are available for £300 each. In addition you will be asked to pay a FIXED PRICE of £95 per month towards his training fees, racing expenses and the administration costs of the syndicate. At the end of each season you will receive your share of any prize money won and also have the choice to either sell your share or continue for another year.
